2008 Top Performers
Frank Kacvinsky and John Roche
(Captains of the Mid Valley Golf Team)
Frank had top three finishes in the Lackawanna League Tournaments and junior events and received a 2nd Team All-Star berth.
John also had great tournament finishes and went on to place in PIAA Regionals and was selected 1st Team All-Regional player.

1st Place in the 15-16 age group.
She also won Low Senior in the Girl's Jackman Memorial High School Tournament.

He also played up an age division in the A.G.A. Junior Tour and won that age division.
Other Notables
Selena Cerra - At 13 years old, Selena has had quite a remarkable junior golf season. She plays out of Elkview Country Club and recently won the girl's Junior Club Championship. Selena placed 2nd in the Lackawanna County Girl's Junior 12-13 year old division, as well as many A.G.A. junior accomplishments. Selena plays an extensive junior circuit which takes her all over the eastern part of the U.S.
Brandon Kearney (Holy Cross Golf Team) has concluded his senior year in quite a fashion. Besides finishing top 5 in our area's major junior events, Brandon broke the Lackawanna Golf League scoring record. His accomplishments rewarded him a 1st team All-Star berth. Brandon has been accepted to the PGA Management Program at Methodist University.
Congratulations to Gary Loyack who, as a sophomore, made the Scranton Prep Golf Team, an elite high school golf team in our state.
Matt Lewis (Abington Heights Golf Team) - Congratulations to Matt, a sophomore, for a fine junior summer season as well as making the Abington Heights golf team, a District II Perennial Play off team, this year.
